For list members who are new to the internet and genealogy

To all:

I decided to send this message because of the number of
requests that I get on resouces and starting points by
new members.

There are a lot of resources on the internet that extremely
helpful for those just getting started. 
While nothing is going to replace good basic research, the
internet provides lists of information and advice on what
to do.  These all over the internet.

The problem is locating them.

This is an internet site which trys to help those who
are doing a search of Irish names in the US and Canada.
It is sponsored by Irish Families.  While Irish Families
is a commercial genealogy concern.  There home page has
a complete conections to the States and Ireland and souces
of history, genealogy, and general information that is 
helpful. The site is free to use and is a good jumping
off point.  

For those who are new, you might see a resource that you
might be interested in.  If you double click the resource,
you will be connected to it.
