Hardesty Web Site

Hello Robert,

I am researching my Hardesty line from Queen Ann and Talbot County MD.
I have been told that the familiy originally came from Del. but I have
never confirmed that.

I haven't found any links on your ancestor lists but I wanted to be on
record as a Hardesty follower. My oldest name is a William Hardesty who
married a Selah ?. He was a minister and, I think, both he and his wife
died in 1828. They had two sons: William Henry Hardesty [3 Apr 1817-9
Mar 1888] and Edward Richard [?-ca 1885]. ER Hardesty was a farmer in
Talbot County and his line is the one I am decended from.

ER Hardesty had two large families; one from a first marriage to Eliz.
Layton and a second marriage to Sally Ann Warner. Grandchildren form
the first group lived in PA and included a Robert Hardesty [1874-1912]
who is buried in Easton MD [FYI}.

Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated!!!
Carolyn Patterson
