I am Larry Kay Hardesty currently of Bluffton, Ohio.
I have always understood that my family "way-back" came to Maryland from 
the British Isles somewhere.  I've also "connected", at least by oral 
tradition, my branch of the family with Iowa and West Virginia.
My grandfather was Dallas Madison Hardesty (d. 1959 or 1960) and my 
father was Charles Dallas Hardesty.  Belmont and Guernsey counties in 
Ohio were prominent in "origins", etc.
I was born in Byesville, Guernsey County, Ohio in 1939.
I am currenty a professor of sociology and criminology at Bluffton 
College in Northwest Ohio, near Lima and Findlay, Ohio.
I've examined other geneology pages and have never found anyone from mhy 
wing of the family.
